Vegetarian Sperm

Blog written by Site Manager CB

I’ve been in the fertility industry for about 6 years now and have come across many interesting facts that can increase or decrease a man’s specimen quality. A study published in the Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology journal found that male mice that had a lifetime, high-level consumption of soy in their diet, had a sperm count that was about 25% lower than that of mice with a soy-free diet. Scientists think that the estrogen compounds contained in soy could lower the quality of the sperm. It’s interesting to think that this could translate to humans. I always thought that guys who were healthy vegetarians would have great specimens, but according to the study that might actually not be the case!
